Apparel Group, a global fashion and lifestyle retail
company, has entered into a strategic partner
ship with Cotton On, Australia’s largest fashion and
lifestyle brand, to introduce the label to the Indian
market. The collaboration brings together Apparel
Group’s strong retail network and deep understanding
of the Indian market with Cotton On’s Australian life
style identity, aiming to offer accessible and trend-fo
cused fashion to India’s largely young consumer base.
Under the agreement, Cotton On will be introduced in
India through a phased omnichannel approach. This
will include a nationwide network of physical stores, a
dedicated e-commerce website and availability
across leading online marketplaces.
As part of its expansion, Cotton On will adopt a
simplified operating model based on its core product
range to ensure faster market entry and reduced
operational challenges. Apparel Group will support
this growth through its established logistics and
distribution network, ensuring smooth supply chain
operations and quicker product availability across the
country.
Abhishek Bajpai, Chief Executive Officer of Apparel
Group India, said that India has one of the largest and
fastest-growing young premium consumer groups in
the world. He noted a clear shift towards international
styles and lifestyle-driven fashion, adding that Cotton
On is well suited to meet this demand and aligns with
the group’s expansion plans.
Bianca Ginns, Managing Director of Cotton On Brands,
said the launch in India represents an important
milestone for the company. She explained that the
brand looks forward to bringing its relaxed and
optimistic Australian identity to Indian consumers,
drawing inspiration from the creativity and energy of
the country’s young generation.
